Original Play (Fred Donaldson)

Back from Wosonos 2015 in Krakow, this was one of the big gifts there, knowing about Original Play. Is there a key on the proportion kids/adults?

Thanks Agata!

What do you desire?

Alan Watts: What do you desire? from Omer K on Vimeo.

What do you desire? What makes you itch?
What sort of a situation would you like?
Let’s suppose, I do this often in vocational guidance of students, they come to me and say, well, "we’re getting out of college and we have the faintest idea what we want to do". So I always ask the question, "what would you like to do if money were no object? How would you really enjoy spending your life?"

Read here about Alan Watts, the one speaking his ideas on the video.

Another one by Alan Watts, vía JM Toledano... Work as play (with subtitles in Spanish).

MANIFESTO FOR CHILDREN (E. Paul Torrance on a CREATIVE LIFE)

As someone passionate about creativity I've spent much time exploring the subject and many authors' ideas. E. Paul Torrance was acclaimed as one of the main experts. One day I came by this piece. I got impressed by it, printed it and pasted it on my work table. Whenever I was kind of upset, reading it and dreaming it's absolutely true used to energize me.

I don't any more work at the same office, but I have since had in mind I should recover this piece and have it always at hand. I believe in it nowadays more than ever before and today is the day I recover it for this blog.

E. Paul Torrance MANIFESTO FOR CHILDREN
---
Don't be afraid to fall in love with something and pursue it with intensity.

Know, understand, take pride in, practice, develop, exploit
and enjoy your
greatest strengths.

Learn to free yourself from the expectations of others and to walk away from the games they impose on you.

Free yourself to play your own game.

Find a great teacher or mentor who will help you.

Learn the skills of interdependence.

Don't waste energy trying to be well rounded.

Enjoy yourself,

Eleder
